THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD VOLUNTEER WITH US
FOR THE UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL 17, PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS.
We want volunteers to spend their time efficiently and be able to give their best to NGO's who will truly use it for positive cause. It is important to know that your work will help the NGO reach their goals. This is why we validate our collaborators before we send them amazing volunteers. Our validation process has been created thoroughly and with care. It is based on extensive research both through secondary and primary data collection and consists of off-site and on-site validation.
We demand transparency from volunteer hosts and for volunteers. Only in this way can we truly have the impact we want on the world.
Our sustainability standards require a level of commitment towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, whilst also reporting reasonable levels of environmental awareness in their operations. A measure of; recyclable materials; fuel, electricity, heating and steam consumption; water use and treatment, and; CO2 emissions is required.
The financial security validation is largely based on the strength of their financial accounts and records, that should be found in an organisation’s annual report. These standards are measured to review how susceptible the organisation is to bankruptcy, for the safety and benefit of the recruited volunteers.
Our social standards and local involvement standards can largely be reflected in how we require organisations to constantly liaise with the local community. To achieve this we encourage board and staff members to be from the local, and our financial and sustainability standards must also report on their direct and indirect involvement on local communities.
SUFFICENT VOLUNTEER HOURS
Our on-site validation includes observing and participating in the work that volunteers do. We review the tasks and amount of time the volutneers need to put in, to be sure that the volunteers are contributing to the projects and spend their time effeciently.
Our transparency validation largely reviews the composition of the organisation, and the availability of this information to potential recruited volunteers and organisations such as ourselves. This section also requires distinct and specific goals and activities outlined by the organisations. The intentions of the organisation should harness SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, & Time Bound) management of the goals and objectives.
Making sure the NGO has valid project licensing and legal registration.
